PROJECT OBJECTIVES: develop a comprehensive brand identity for Starfield, Shinsegae Group's new family-oriented department store concept, Starfield aims to transcend the traditional shopping experience, transforming into a vibrant destination for families and friends to shop, dine, relax, and create lasting memories.
VISION: Starfield aspires to be the Disney World of shopping, offering a dynamic space that caters to all members of the family, it's more than just a store; it's a full-day experience where families can enjoy retail therapy with diverse shopping options with something for everyone; culinary delights with a range of restaurants offering delicious food; relaxation retreats with soothing spa experiences to unwind and recharge; social hub with a place to connect with friends and family, fostering happy memories; themed entertainment with engaging activities and experiences that spark joy for all ages.
BRAND STRATEGY: the Starfield brand identity I created captures the essence of family fun and togetherness, I created a visual language and messaging that evokes feelings of a fairy tale, excitement, joy, and shared experiences, this is achieved through a captivating logo and brand design, warm and inviting color palettes, and engaging marketing materials that showcase the diverse offerings.
With a focus on creating a welcoming and interactive environment, overall, the Starfield brand positions itself as the ultimate family destination, offering a unique blend of shopping, entertainment, & relaxation, all under one roof.
Starfield is a name that charts a course through a cosmos of curated shops and services, each celestial body illuminating the path toward fulfilling your every desire.

CONTEXT: Shinsegae Group is a South Korean department store franchise, along with several other businesses, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the firm is an affiliate of Shinsegae Group, South Korea's leading retail chaebol, & one of the big three department store firms in Korea, along with Lotte & Hyundai Department Store.
Shinsegae then developed Starfield in Hanam in 2016, the first shopping theme park for families, a shopping theme park that provides the experience of shopping, leisure, and healing all in one spot is finally opening.
At Starfield, you can shop with your friends, enjoy delicious food & leisure activities, and relax from day to night, so plan a one-day trip to Starfield immediately.

One of the highlights of Starfield Suwon is the impressive Starfield Library, marking the second iteration after the iconic library at COEX Mall. With floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a cozy ambiance, it has quickly become a must-visit location for locals and tourists alike. Surpassing its predecessor in size, the Suwon library spans from the 4th to the 7th floors, reaching an impressive height of 22 meters.
